Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole has now kicked Saskatchewan Sen. Denise Batters out of the party's national caucus, after she launched a petition calling for an immediate leadership review.
According to Batters, over 2,000 party members who want a new leader had already signed the petition.
But in a statement, Erin O'Toole says "I will not tolerate an individual discrediting and showing a clear lack of respect towards the efforts of the entire Conservative caucus."
As David Akin reports, O'Toole is finding support from within the party.
