I do not know what possessed me to want to record one of these tragic things but here we are, so welcome to another onboard train video and in this one we take a ride onboard one of what may well be the most unusual trains (if you can even call it that) on the UK network, 139001. The 139 is known as the Parry People Mover, a small one carriage railcar built for the Stourbridge Town branch line which is the smallest such line on the UK rail network at just 0.8 miles long. It is powered by an 86hp 2.3litre Ford engine with a flywheel instead of a gearbox providing the traction system by capturing the kinetic energy from braking and reusing it for acceleration, thus eliminating the need for a large diesel engine, they have a top speed of 20mph. 139001 is recorded on the 18:15 Stourbridge Junction to Stourbridge Town and the 18:20 Stourbridge Town to Stourbridge Junction services.
