When Prisoners Don’t Get Medical Care
How To Create Antibiotic Resistance
The Next GLOBAL Health Pandemic | Dr Paul Farmer | Tuberculosis in Russian Prisons
Since 1991, Tuberculosis (TB) has become increasingly unmanageable in post-Soviet Russia for a series of reasons that were once totally within the control of international health organizations [like the World Bank].
This video covers this issue, and shows how not addressing this is bad for EVERYONE. 80% of Russian prisoners die from multi-drug resistant TB, MDRTB. Since TB is an airborne disease, how long can we afford to ignore this?
