Our new high-definition webcams, or as we affectionately refer to them, our hide- and deckcams, combined with a steady feed of images from our guides and guests, keep us in touch more and more.

The images are not always the best quality but today’s selection reveals that the quality of the wildlife sightings is fantastic. We will regularly share some videos or pictures from camps so everyone can better understand what is happening.

We can tell you that the old notions of green seasons, or ‘off seasons’, are dead!
At our camps, as these images tell us, there is always something exciting going on at Great Plains.

Some days we have a lush, green backdrop, others are filled with stormy clouds, many with dust and action, but the lions and leopards never disappear. Elephants come and go, buffalo and painted dogs must live their lives in total oblivion to what we may think.

In many ways, we prefer the time of the year when the rains come, freshen the bush, and give us images like this week’s wildlife update from the guides and guests at Great Plains.
