As a caregiver, one of the first and most basic lifts that you'll encounter is what we call a standing transfer aid. These are ideal for patients who have the ability to sit and stand without the full assistance of a traditional lift, but who may require help moving long distances or if multiple transfers can make them fatigued.
Learning from over 25 years of experience in the field, BestCare has released an affordable line of standing transfer aids in their new BestMove Series.
The series has two main models - the STA400 for patients up to 400lbs and the STA450 which can hold patients up to 450lbs and also has a base that opens and closes for maneuvering around larger wheelchairs.
Both models come with 4 rolling casters that lock in place, a folding seat for use while in motion, and hooks for using a transfer strap if the patient needs additional assistance.
From here you can choose to go with the standard dual knee pads or upgrade to the single piece pad if you prefer.
Finally, each model also comes in a short variant for patients who are 5 feet tall or less.
Starting at just under $800, the BestMove Series of standing transfer aids is about half the price of most standing aids on the market - and it does so without sacrificing quality, functionality, or options.
