Both vehicles have state-of-the-art technology like 360 degrees camera view around the IFV and thermal imaging sight for both gunner and commander. The Puma has an improved situational awareness system as well as the battle management system. While Kurganets-25 infantry fighting vehicle is equipped with an automatic fire control system that is able to select automatically the targets. Standard equipment of the Kurganets 25 could include a thermal imager, eye-safe laser rangefinder, inertial navigation system, and computerized fire control system.

On the other hand, Kurganets-25 was first seen in 2015 and its production was planned to begin by 2016 however it was delayed indefinitely in 2020.
