We love the Game Gear here ar 16BitBench acres, we have loads of them and a lot of them needs care and attention.

Replacing leaking capacitors with surface mount versions

You'll find a lot of tutorials on recapping on YouTube but not that many that use surface mount components, while harder to work with initially ceramic and tantalum surface mounts are more reliable, last longer and are neater in the case.
