Day 5 - arrived into El Calafate. I strongly recommend renting a car in El Calafate to discover the city's many small wonders. I wish I would have known!. Then, proceed to El Chalten for a few days to fully experience its beautiful treks. My day trip to El Chalten was disappointing, consisting of a 6-hour round-trip drive and only 2 hours of hiking, which merely provided a glimpse of what the area has to offer.
