Donald Trump Rejects Taunts of "Ceding His Presidency" to Elon Musk | Firstpost America
US President-elect Donald Trump brushed off the notion that he has "ceded the presidency" to billionaire ally Elon Musk. His comments came after Musk helped Republicans kill a government spending bill last week, prompting Democrats to take jabs at the incoming president. Trump further said that even if the Tesla CEO wanted to become president, he couldn’t do so. Notably, the American constitution requires the US President to be a natural-born citizen and Musk was born in South Africa. Sabotaging the year-end spending bill is the latest incident where Musk appeared to be taking a larger role in the incoming Trump administration.
