Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre has been closed to allow for the upgrade of the facility to begin. In this progress video you'll see:
1. The slab that forms the roof of the underground carpark and part of the floor of the main building has been completed. This slab has been extended South-East towards Mileham Ave to form the floor of Multipurpose Rooms 1 and 2, and part of the Lobby floor.
2. The slab covering the carpark has also been extended north-east to complete the slab for the Group Fitness room and the Male and Female change rooms. A slab has been laid above this one to form the roof of the area.
3. On the north-western side, work has begun on the steps down to the underground carpark level.
Apart from the Aquatic Centre, work has continued on the rose garden, where the old rotunda has been replaced with a gleaming white metal rotunda.
