Ragda is a preparation made with dried white or yellow peas.
Preparation
.rinse half cup of dried white peas (the colour is slightly cremish yellow in colour)
.soak the dried white peas in enough water over night 8 to 9 hours
.next day you will see the white peas beautifully double in size drain all water
.in a pressure cooker add the soaked white peas andtwo small peeled potatoes
.add 2 cups water
. pressure cook for 10 to 12 minutes
.when the pressure falls down on its own then open the lid and check if the white peas are cooked
.flame a pan
.add oil chopped onions chopped tomatoes garam masala and boiled potatoes
.mash potatoes well to mix with all spices
(add spices as per you need)
(add salt as per you need)
.add boiled peas with water
.stir and mix well
.cook for five minutes in medium to low flame
.take to a serving bowl some amount of cooked ragda
.add chopped onions chopped coriander green chutney tamarind (imli)ki chutney sev and yogurt (skip it if not available)again add sev
.serve it immediately
