Greeting all! 👋🏽 In this video my friend Nicky and I take an evening hike and wild camp lakeside in Snowdonia. We parked up by Llyn Ogwen in the Ogwen Valley and hiked up past Llyn Idwal. From there we climbed up and through Devil's Kitchen to the top of that part of the mountain range which leaves you in between Glyder Fawr and Y Garn. And right here is a lovely little lake called Llyn Y Cwn, which is where we camp for the night 🏕️

There were two reasons for the hike:
1) For both of us to try our tents out for the first time, and:
2) Nicky wanted to get some hiking practice in while carrying a bagful of camping equipment in preparation for an up and coming fundraising event that she's taking part in.

On the way up Nicky talks about the event at the end of this month (May 2022). In a nut shell, she and a group of others are hiking 20 of the peaks in Snowdonia over 2 nights and 3 days in honor of one of our friends Shaun, who sadly passed away in early 2020. Unfortunately I'm scheduled to work when the fundraiser is on so I'm unable to attend, which I'm absolutely gutted about. But I'll definitely be there in spirit ❤️
