LIFE Euroturtles - Collective actions for improving the conservation status of the EU sea turtle populations (www.euroturtles.eu) is a project connecting joint actions in six European Mediterranean countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Malta, Greece and Cyprus) targeting conservation and management of strictly protected and endangered Mediterranean sea turtles - the loggerhead turtle and the green turtle. This video is documenting some of the activities carried out by nine organisations forming this partnership. Project is coordinated by the Croatian Natural History Museum with project partners the Blue World Institute, the University of Cyprus – Oceanography centre, the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of Cyprus, the ARCHELON, the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece, the WWF Italia Onlus, the Sapienza University of Rome Department of biology and biotechnologies “Charles Darwin”, the Nature Trust Malta and the University of Primorska Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies.
The project LIFE Euroturtles is funded through the LIFE programme, the EU's funding instrument for the environment and climate actions.
