In this eShadowing session, Dr. Galvez walked us through his career, including a case study where an 18 month old was born without an index finger due to amniotic bands. He was then able to perform a Z-Plasty to elongate the thumb and middle finger to reduce potential long term issues.
Here’s a little more about Dr. Galvez:
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Attended medical school at Stanford University School of Medicine
• Completed a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgical Residency at Stanford University
• Completed 2 Fellowships at University of Washington and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
