🔥Radial Neurodynamic Progressions🔥
Radial neurodynamic are great treatments for cervical radiculopathy, common extension tendinopathy, and DeQuervains wrist issues. In this video, I show some progressions from the traditional oscillations at the elbow. The goal being to floss the entire neural container, not just the point of pain/symptoms.
🔵oscillate at the thumb for DeQuervains/thumb pain
🔵shoulder IR oscillations
🔵 shoulder distractions
🔵rotate head toward/away
🔵rotate head toward actively while performing wrist/thumb oscillations for active sliders
When I teach neurodynamics for a Recovery Plan, I make sure the patient does their own mobilizations across each of these joints about 20-30 seconds each, several times a day. After these neurodynamic mobilizations reduce the sensitivity of the peripheral tissues, it’s time to load up with a general strengthening or eccentric program if there is tendinopathy.
