Bali is back open and Australians are flocking there for tropical holidays, myself included! As of now there is a choice of 4 carriers flying direct to Bali: Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Batik Air. I had some covid credits to use so booked Qantas then upgraded to business with points.
6 hrs is a long way in a Boeing 737-800 and business class on these birds is nothing exciting but it was comfortable enough for this journey. Service and food both quite good though the lamb sandwich option I wanted had run out immediately after the first 2 pax were offered dinner. Fortunately the prawn and papaya salad was delicious!
Various snacks were available mid flight along with either prawn cakes or a quiche as a pre landing snack. Plenty of food really.

arrived 10 minutes early! surprisingly the arrival process was really smooth and I was out of the airport within 40 minutes. No covid test, no quarantine required. just need to be vaccinated and buy a 500,000 IDR visa on arrival. (Aud52)
