Ntando’s career began in Johannesburgs’ West Rand in the sprawling township of
Kagiso. His vision was always to be an entertainer, not just any entertainer, but one
whose work would be classic and timeless. He knew this would not be easy, but
perseverance and passion has carried him through. Today the Nelspruit-born heart-
throb is a multi-award winning and platinum selling artist.
Deeply influenced by Michael Jackson as well as Bob Marley, Ntando learned the art
of crafting truly great songs and quality song production. His first break into the
music industry came in 2003 when he signed his first record deal and released his
debut album “Kwantu” which soon went platinum. Word about Ntando’s musical
prowess spread like wildfire and he soon became a household name, bolstered by
his superb live performances.

Ntando released his second album “Imvelaphi” which was a triple-platinum smash
and garnered several awards, including “Song of the Year” at both the SAMA and
Metro FM Awards for the stunning track “Dali Wam”. Additionally, he won for Best
Newcomer, Best Album and Best Male Artist.
‘Uhambo Lwam’ was released in 2008, and was the sound of an artist reaching his
prime and maturity, showing that the Afro soul artist was capable of running his own
career in a way that best serves his unique creative vision. This album was also a
platinum hit and raised his profile .The album was culminated in a tour that took in
South Africa, France, Germany, Botswana, Namibia, and finally India in mid-2009.

After a few years under the radar and finding his voice again. Ntando is back in
studio and will be releasing a super album in a few weeks to come. His comeback
song “Kuwe”, which comes off his anticipated album to be released later this year,
has been filled with enormous success, receiving praises from some of the biggest
stations in the country.

The Afro Pop artist released “Mayibuye”, being his 7th studio album in 2017 in which
has gotten props from some of the biggest stations and newspapers nationwide. .
Ntando released his next twi singles singles off Mayibuye – “Dali” and “Emlanjeni” ,
which have also been receiving great feedback and being played on some of the
biggest stations in South Africa.

The feedback from the resulted in Ntando being nominated for Best Afro Pop Album
at the 2018 South African Music Awards (SAMA24). Its safe to say that Ntando’s album has reignited the love his fans have for him, and captured the hearts of many

After performing his new single NONO and receiving standing ovation at the EVENING OF LOVE 2019 at the Sun Arena in Menlyn, Pretoria. Ntando has released his new single giving people a snippet of some of the great music that’s still to come.
