Kids science experiment with Skittles makes an awesome skittles rainbow effect! This is a great DIY Skittles experiment that every parent should do with their kids. Also, a great science fair project or STEM Activity to do with your kids if you are looking for ideas. As the sugar starts dissolving off of the Skittles candy the "Sugar rich" water is much denser than the normal water and sinks to the bottom of the plate. As the colored sugar moves down the plate it makes a great rainbow effect for the kids to enjoy!
