Apple Strudel
Dough Recipe:
400 g flour
220 g lukewarm water
1 tsp salt
1.5 tbsp oil
Knead in a stand mixer for at least 10 mins until silky. Rub with extra oil and let rest in an airtight container for at least 2 hrs.
Prepare your largest surface with a clean cotton cloth or sheet and dust with flour.
Filling for apple strudel:
About 120g melted butter
120g bread crumbs (best to use Panko) + about 40g butter to make toasted bread crumbs
1 kg apples, peal and slice thin
Sugar, cinnamon, raisins
Stretch your dough as big and thin as you can, use your hands.
Sprinkle melted butter Mix bread crumbs, sugar , apples, raisins, cinnamon in a bowl . Trim the thick edges of your dough with a knife.
With the help of your cloth, flip over the long sides of the dough a little first. Then roll from the short end!
Brush with melted butter. Place on baking sheet with parchment paper.
Bake at 360F / 180C for about 30-35 mins until golden brown.
Dust with powdered sugar and if you can eat right away
