Hello, my name is Richard Wilson. I'm founder of The Family Office Club. We're a decade-old community of family offices and I wanted to welcome you to our website and explain exactly what our network is all about.
Essentially we're in place because the industry was very inefficient and gray and hard to navigate and everyone was very secretive about best practices and lost people, made a lot of money in consulting on the very basics of the industry and what we've done is decided that we don't care about consulting. We care about building relationships with families to get real business done, whether it's helping them by being on the board of an operating business or helping them in raising capital or helping them source direct investments or connecting to each other for co-investments.
That's what the Family Office Club is all about. We've hosted 72 conferences over the past 10 years and we have tens of thousands of members around the world, and many of the things that we've put in place are really just connecting people to each other and to best practices.
For example, I've written three bestselling books in the industry, we've recorded over 200 audio interviews over the phone and they're in our library for charter members, we also have recorded over 1300 educational videos and we have the leading certification program on family offices called the Qualified Family Office Professional Program. In addition to that, we have our Family Office podcast, the conferences I mentioned, monthly webinars, our Family Office monthly newsletter, and all of these things are meant to make the industry easier for everybody to navigate because I had such a frustrating time doing so in the early 2000s, and that's why I launched the Family Office Club in 2007.
So if you're looking to raise capital and you're on the sale side raising capital for a fund, or you run an independent sponsor model or an investment firm, or a service provider and you're targeting family offices, or if you're selling, you've just had a liquidity event and you're looking to start a family office we would like to help you do that as well.
