The joint operation of the US Marines and the Afghan National army & police in Sangin district in 2012
This operation was carried out in the north of Sangin district of Helmand province under the leadership of commander Hamid Saifi , the company commander of Afghan national army ( ANA ) .
In this operation, the area was cleared of Taliban and the Taliban escaped from the area, but the IEDs planted by the enemy caused casualties to the Afghan National army & police .
