One unique fact about the Makran Coastal Highway is that it is one of the longest coastal roads in Pakistan, spanning over 700 kilometers (435 miles) along the Arabian Sea coast. It was built to connect the port city of Karachi to the port city of Gwadar, and passes through some of the most scenic coastal areas of the country, including Hingol National Park, Princess of Hope rock formation, and Ormara Beach. The highway also provides access to remote coastal communities and has helped boost tourism in the region.
