We went for an over-nighter into the Monashees, and while Andrew Lake was our destination, we couldn't figure out a great way down and ended up camping at tarn above the lake.


When exploring later I was able to go down the avalanche chute, but it was sketchy and I sent a lot of rocks tumbling down, so I don't recommend this route.


Forest fires are burning in the area, one north-east and one due south of where we were, but the smoke was tolerable.


We also took Joki who we almost never let off leash for various reasons, one of those reasons being that she will literally throw herself over a cliff if she sees a chipmunk down below. She made the trip... Interesting.
