A regiment under China's Xinjiang Military Command recently conducted a live-fire shooting drill to test its air defense capability in a high-altitude environment. After the air defense unit arrived in the combat area of the drill, each fire unit quickly established communications to build an air defense fire network. At the same time, the "enemy" high-speed drones headed towards the formation from 100 kilometers away, using low-altitude and ultra-low-altitude penetration methods to avoid detection by radar. After the radar operator found and captured the targets, the missile was launched and hit the target accurately on the first shot.
The drill lasted over a dozen hours and simulated multiple rounds of different enemy attack scenarios. The commanders and soldiers had to independently search for targets and choose strike methods on the complicated battlefield.
