(11 Apr 1963) Liverpool police have had women officers assigned to their mobile patrols for some time. While their main job is to keep an eye on the traffic they also carry on with their social responsibilities, ie frequent checks at transport cafes, for run-away girls. Women police have recently turned speed-cops in South London. They'll be on duty over the holiday period, keeping an eye on the rush to the coast.
