During attempts to engage the right coronary artery with a 7 French JR4 guide catheter the catheter kinked. Attempts to untwist the catheter and advance a guidewire failed and in the process the catheter fractured, with a long segment of the catheter remaining within the patient's body. Left arterial access was obtained and an Ensnare was advanced around the catheter. Attempts to snare from the right femoral and right radial artery failed. Eventually the catheter was "folded over" and pulled through the left common femoral arteriotomy, followed by cutting the catheter and inserting an 0.035 inch guidewire and then a 9 French sheath achieving hemostasis without arterial injury.
