Endymion is archetype that focused on Spell Counter advantages. Endymion ace's monster i.e. ENDYMION, THE MIGHTY MASTER OF MAGIC is very powerful monster because it has destroyer effect, Spell Trap negater effect, untargetable and indestructible by card effect if it has Spell Counter. Your opponent will have hard time if you have that monster on the field. Usually this Endymion deck always includes some Mythical Beast monsters in it because their effect relate on Spell Counter too. MYTHICAL BEAST MASTER CERBERUS is very powerful monster too because it has monster banisher effect and indestructible by card effect. MYTHICAL BEAST JACKAL KING is very powerful monster that has monster negater effect. If you can summon 3 of them in your field, you've big chance to win.

Spellbook is an archetype of Spell and Trap Cards that supports Spellcaster monsters, commonly Prophecy Spellcaster archetype. This archetype has synergy line with Endymion archetype if you only use Spellbook's Spell Card ( not their Trap Card ) because with using Spellbook's Spell Card you can add Spell Counter to Endymion's card.

The key cards in Spellbook are SPELLBOOK MAGICIAN OF PROPHECY and SPELLBOOK OF JUDGEMENT. Spellbook Magician Of Prophecy is monster that have effect as Spellbook's Searcher. Spellbook Of Judgement is most important card in this deck because it is key card to launch lock combo. Spellbook Of Judgement can Special Summon JOWGEN THE SPIRITUALIST from your deck that can make restrict any player to Special Summon any monster. In order to make that combo is happened, you must activate 3 Spell Card at least in this turn AFTER you activate Spellbook Of Judgement. If you success to do that, you can Special Summon Jowgen The Spiritualist from your deck in End Turn, and it make any player can't Special Summon monster again. So before using this lock combo, make sure you have summon boss monster(s) or set interruption cards like SPELLBOOK OF FATE if possible. Combining Endymion and Spellbook can make you to get 2 advantages in 1 deck, negater and lock combo. You can use Endymion as negater and Spellbook as locking Special Summon. The steps that make you can launch lock and negater combo is varied based on your hand condition, but typically you should have Spellbook Magician Of Prophecy, Spellbook Of Secrets, and 3 other Spell Cards ( including Endymion or Mythical Beast Pendulum Card ) in order to make you launch lock and negate combo. That is the typical steps to launch the combo, and there are another ways to do the combos that you can look in this video even though you just have 1 Spellbook cards in your hand ( Spellbook of Secrets ).
