Loryn and Robb approached the cleans differently with Robb breaking off bigger sets and Loryn going with singles from the start. Robb pulled ahead early. Both athletes kept about the same pace on the GHD sit-ups but Loryn's consistent singles on the cleans allowed her to catch Robb as his breaks got longer in the round of 9 cleans. Loryn also unknowingly did the workout "Rx+" (10 lbs over the prescribed clean weight at 115 lbs).
