The benchmark index of the Egyptian stock market is rising at the closing session of the first trading week of February.
STORY-LINE:
The Egyptian stock market's benchmark index opened trading in green on Thursday, starting at 13,987 points and moving up.
During the last trading session of the week, EGX 30 index had reached 14,098 points by 10:35 GMT, a gain of 0.8% from opening.
Foreign institutions and Egyptian individuals are making purchases, said dealer Tamer Hussein who was speaking at 9:00 GMT.
Meanwhile, Arab and Egyptian financial institutions are selling, he added.
