We were very excited to visit Potchefstroom, as this is where I did my military service. We were eager to see how much I could recognize and remember. The Sergeant Major at one of the camps allowed us to film certain areas, which was fascinating. I also drove past North West Command, where I spent eighteen months of my service. So much has changed since then! The city itself was clean, neat and full of beautiful buildings and trees. We couldn’t resist visiting the NWU Campus and the Potchefstroom Dam, a place where, as a young soldier, I spent many hours having fun. Our stay at The Craft Guesthouse was very comfortable, making it the perfect place to end our visit to Potchefstroom.
