Fantasy Zone is a classic shooter starring Opa-Opa, a sentient spaceship. Some would call this a cute-em-up. You fly around and shoot down enemy factories until you've destroyed them all. Then you get to face off with the boss of the level. You get a number of power-ups that you can buy from shops, though you'll be relying heavily on your standard shot and bomb upgrades. Enjoy.
