There is a quick reference to one of our characters’ mindsets in the timeline. When Logan first arrives in 1973 and the thugs bust in, the boss’ wife that he has supposedly slept with refers to him as “Jimmy”. The fact Logan will have known to go by this name, referring to his real name James Howlett, is a nod to the fact that the version of him from that time has not yet lost his memories and so is aware of his heritage.
