This is the original Vic Maile produced recording of Tush from the Hit & Run album with Enid Williams on vocals and bass.

Girlschool re-recorded this track with Kim on vocals and Gil Weston on bass with an accompanying video for MTV.

This all sounds great in an ideal world, however the re-recording was badly produced completely loosing the power of the original.

Kim can’t sing this, no offence intended here - all of Hawkwind tried to sing Silver Machine, only Lemmy could - it badly misses Enid’s vocals and Gil’s bass was too high in the mix to the detriment of Kelly’s guitar.

As such I have created a video for the original version from concert footage and restored this to 4K.

I have included Kelly’s guitar solo from the official video with Gil showing on bass as this is, I am sure, of interest to us fans.
