Starting point is the Rifugio Giovanni Gnifetti 3'625 m. Ascent to the Zumsteinspitze (4'563 m) and via the Grenzsattel to the Dufourspitze (4'634 m). Descent to the Monte Rosa Hut (2'883 m) and further to the Rotenboden station of the Gornergrat Bahn.
The Dufourspitze is the highest mountain of both Switzerland and the Pennine Alps and is also the second-highest mountain of the Alps and Western Europe. June, 2023.
