Foam Fly Popper Talk & Night Fishing for Bluefish with Joseph. It was a new world record of mine. I must have had 24 strikes, bangs, takes, and bumps on my foam fly slammer popper. I did not land one single bluefish. Fishing should never be about numbers, points, or size. But to figure out what MAY be going on day to day as things change is what keeps us fishing. Much like walking through a field of green in summer, which is brown in fall, and white in winter. Why so? That is what makes fishing always so interesting. There is always an underlying question with no definitive answer. If you get an answer one day it will change the next. If you are lucky the answer will hold for sometime and soon change again. A few things we came up with all lead to the physical properties of foam and the behavior of fish. I am also sure there is some of me in there as well.
