In this video I'll show you how to easily pull out a metal tree stake or metal fence post. Some people cut these posts down with an angle grinder. If you're like me and don't want a piece of sharp metal hiding just beneath the ground then look no further.
For this DIY you'll need:
1. Farm Jack/High Jack (a floor jack will also work but may need frequent adjusting). I bought my farm jack at Harbor Freight for $50.
2. A 2x2 cut down to about 12-18 inches long. You'll also need to cut a slit in the middle of the 2x2 about half way through.
3. A strip of steel cut to the same length as the 2x2.
4. A 2 foot long metal chain. specifically 1/4 in. with a workload limit of 2600 lbs.
5. A 5/16 in. Quick Link. I may have also called it a D Link in the video but the proper term is Quick Link. It looks like a carabiner that screws shut. This has a workload limit of 1760 lbs.
All of these items can be picked up at your local hardware store/big box store.
