Hundreds of people attended a memorial evening in London for the former Cuban president Fidel Castro on Monday 5 December 2016.
The event celebrated and remembered the contribution that Fidel Castro had made in Cuba and internationally, with Cuba’s internationalism in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia recognised throughout the evening.
Speakers included ambassadors, Members of Parliament, authors and journalists who gave moving speeches in addition to poetry readings, music and film.
