There's a thousand different opinions about screen-time and honestly, I respect them all. Whatever you choose to do, totally depends on your lifestyle.
Personally, I believe that the more you try to keep a child away from something, it feels more important and interesting, which makes the child even more curious about it. The more it's treated like a part of everyday life, it becomes like furniture. Just there. And practically ignored.
Next, comes the ultimate point of contention:
𝗖𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗡
We've all read and heard the many "COCOMELON is so bad" "Don't show your child cocomelon" "COCOMELON is the WORST thing you could show your child" "COCOMELON is addictive" but here's my own personal opinion about it.
Anything you show your child could have a positive or a negative impact on them, what matters is how involved you are alongside it.
My daughter for example loves "The Wheels in the Bus" and we all (my husband, me, my parents, my in-laws, her uncles) have constantly done all the actions WITH HER since the start. It's such a habit now, that her interest is less on the screen and more on doing the actions and making sure the people around her are doing them too.
This taught me one thing about children, that anything could be a learning opportunity. It is less about the means and the content but rather the way it is utilized in everyday life.
Of course we know that too much of anything is bad, but giving your child screen time in a controlled environment whilst also interacting with them alongside it is probably a better idea than making it seem like forbidden fruit which your child really, really wants to try.
And again nothing is completely good or completely bad. It's the way you use it in your life that has either positive or negative effects.

Worry less about screen time, enjoy it with them instead. ❤️
