“For me, that is an important fact, just as for us a historical building like a pyramid of the Egyptians is interpretable for us. The cult has disappeared, the architecture is no longer functional, and in the end, it remains an architecture that invites us mostly to interpret but becomes almost a sculpture. This is an element I try to use within my work: to create architecture that is non-functional, but functions for the mind.”
