It was a big week for the ASX 200 closing on Friday at is third consecutive record high at 7,064 points, up two per cent for the week.

CMC Market’s Michael McCarthy said “the steps toward resolution of trade disputes are real positives for the outlooks”.

“So there’s a good fundamental reason for the gains we’ve seen for Australian shares”.
