I have had this customer's Epiphone Les Paul SL in for a fair bit of an overhaul. In case you're unfamiliar with this particular Epiphone model, they can be bought new for about £90 and come pretty rough and ready which is totally fair for the crazy low price. They can make a pretty fun project guitar, which is what the owner of this one had planned. Inspired by the Prisma skateboard inlay McNelly Pickups and control knobs, this guitar was born.
I've not had chance to record any videos of the +10% wind Stagger Swaggers before, so this was the perfect opportunity seeing as they're in what is essentially a budget instrument.
Guitar is wired with 500k pots and .02uF capacitors (it was converted to conventional Les Paul style wiring, instead of the guitar's standard single master volume/tone setup).
I normally just do clean demos, but I figured most of the players interested in the +10% wind versions of these pickups, would likely want to push them a bit harder. So I grabbed a Yellowcake effects 'Furry Burrito' drive/fuzz pedal for the second half of the video. Played through a Rift PR18 Amp.
I haven't played electric guitar for too long, go easy on me haha.
