Widespread rain and cooler temperatures will overspread the Charlotte area today. Off-and-on showers will allow for minor, localized flooding and ponding on the roadways. Winds will pick up becoming breezy at times with gusts 20 - 25 mph.
After midnight temperatures near 70 degrees, numbers will steadily fall throughout the day with temperatures falling to the upper 40s this afternoon. Due to cloud cover, lows will stay steady in the low-mid 40s.
