The UK government have decided that there isn't enough brexit red tape for British farmers, so they are creating some more. New rules, affecting beef and lamb exporters, mean that sales are going to be hit and the price of meat will increase in British supermarkets. The government seem to be suggesting that it's down to new EU rules, which would be a good reason for re-joining the single market. However, every account I've read says that this is purely a UK government rule.
