The railway station of India, which remained closed for 42 years because of a girl It seems strange to hear that a railway station is closed due to one girl and that too when the station has been opened for only seven years. You might think this is funny, but it's absolutely true. This railway station is in Purulia district of West Bengal, named Beguncodor railway station. This railway station was opened in the year 1960. The queen of Santhal, Mrs. Lachan Kumari has been instrumental in opening it. After opening this station, everything was fine for a few years, but later strange incidents started happening here. In 1967, a railway employee of Beguncodore claimed to see the ghost of a woman at the station. Also, a rumor has emerged that he died in a train accident at the same station. The next day the railway worker told the people about it, but they ignored his words. The real trouble started when the then station master of Beguncodor and his family were found dead in the railway quarters. People living here claimed that the same ghost was involved in these deaths. He said that whenever a train passed through here after the sun set, the ghost of the woman used to run along with it and sometimes ran faster than the train and overtook her. Apart from this, he was claimed to be seen dancing on the tracks in front of the train several times.
