Paragliding from the first time above mountains and landing on the beach is an Awesome experience. Start from Ifonche in South Tenerife which is 1000 m high and landing on the beach near La Caleta.
Paragliding works easier than many thinks and it is probably the simplest form of flying. It starts from the ground usually the top of a hill or mountain, then uses wind forces to help the pilot maintain in the air.
There are over 30 take-offs in Tenerife. The south part of the island has very stable weather conditions. Paragliding schools and tandem pilots use this area to fly every day. The north part of the island is perfect for beautiful dynamic flying depending on the winds. The southwest part of the island is sheltered by El Teide and all areas can be flown.
