Bombay Talkies was a film studio founded by Devika Rani and Himanshu Rai in 1934 and saw the careers of Dilip Kumar and actor Ashok Kumar flourish. Ashok Kumar gave Bombay Talkies its biggest hit with the movie Kismet released in 1943 while Dilip Kumar started his Bollywood career from this studio with the movie Jwar Bhata released in 1944.
