Aloha BrewTube:
In this episode of DJs BrewTube I review Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesen. Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesen is a Festbier that clocks in at 6.0% ABV. Paulaner describes their Oktoberfest Wiesn as follows:
"Brewed once a year, and only available while supplies last, Oktoberfest Wiesn is the pinnacle of German brewing: deep golden color, full-bodied and wonderfully mellow, with a balanced harmonious taste and the pleasant fragrance of hops."
Lets see if Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn lives up to their prose or comes in better. Enjoy the video review..... Written review follows:
Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn REVIEW:
A- Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn pours a dark amber caramel color with a three finger white head. Tons of glass lacing and no alcohol legs were observed.
S- Malt, caramel, light floral hops, burnt bitter grains with a touch of dark honey. No alcohol is detectable in the aroma.
T- Taste follows the nose. At the font of the mouth comes is sweet malty flavor backed up by the taste of bitter dark grains and a touch of honey. No alcohol is detectable in the taste.
M- Medium carbonation with a watery finish especially as it warms.
O- Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn is one of the better Festbiers I have had. In my experience, the best Festbier mostly comes from Germany and Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn is a really tasty brew. I would gladly drink Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn again.
Serving Type: Bottle (11.2 oz)
