After the disinfection, the impression is cast with gypsum.
A few simple expedients can help the dental technician in this phase: first of all, always add the powder to the water and not vice-versa. Both water (better if demineralised) and powder should be at room temperature.
In addition, mixing the gypsum in a vacuum mixer reduces the amount of air trapped in the mix and therefore produces a more uniform paste.
Once set, the model is separated from the impression, trimmed and finished to make it as similar as possible to the patient’s arches.
We simplify complexity, smartly.
