I can't think of a more accurate representation of what 1999 was like than this two and a half minute clip from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? where this contestant is tasked with a $500,000 reward if he can simply name which of the four isn't a Pokémon. Worth it to hear Regis Philbin saying the names of various Pokémon alone imo. Also wild because imagine living in a world today where Frodo (which yeah, is the correct answer here) wasn't a recognized enough name for anyone to make the "well duh, Frodo isn't a Pokémon" connection.

Yes, this is the episode where John Carpenter, at the tail end, begins his run towards $1,000,000 which concludes on the next episode. Only saying it here because I know there's a couple of Poindexters whose days I'm ruining by not giving them the opportunity to be the first to say so in the comments. :)
