Magnus Volk's Electric Railway on the seafront at Brighton. This line (2ft 8 1/2" gauge) runs for just over a mile and is the oldest working electric railway in the world. (Opened in 1883) It operates from a 110 volt dc supply on a 3rd rail between the tracks.
